The Marketplace

The day started with the idea of painting the market in La Roche Posay.  While it was not raining, it was cold and very windy, and after walking around with my backpack of art supplies, I decided that a studio painting would do just as well.  My Arizona blood was not doing well in the colder than normal French weather.  So, not wanting to waste a trip, I perused the market and bought some food for myself.  After returning home, the weather warmed up a bit, so I ventured out and painted the house in which I am staying.  I must say that I am much more motivated to paint when the weather is warmer, or at least not as windy.

Hi Sandy: Your office door being closed is a most unusual site here at home. We are only just getting used to the idea.

I am enjoying your blog and would love to see a photo of the inside of the house you are renting, which looks very picturesque.
love,
Margaret

Lovely work Sandy! I'm happy that you've found something you love to do and that you seem to excel at. Two paintings a day is prolific!
We've moved to Umpqua at the end of Hubbard Cr. Very beautiful, creek running year round, eagles, otters, mink, salmon, steelhead. Unfortunately its 50 miles round trip to town. Trying to do that less. Happy to find your blog. You go girl! Kathy

Hoping for warmer weather for you so you can enjoy your outdoor painting. Saw Heather Price today and she mentioned you blog. We are having colder than usual weather here too. Soon enough we will be complaining about how hot it is. The markwt picture is charming. Not unlike our market here though less commercial looking. Ground is broken for our new greenhouse. We are excited to see it proceed. Enjoy your day.

love your stories and paintings. Sounds like fun!
